Pinterest is the new Facebook

Since I sit at a computer all day long with lots of down time now that we're hitting the slower season, Pinterest always seems to be what fills up my screen.  It's so hard not to drool over the yummy recipes people have made, swoon over closets the size of 3 bedroom apartments, and contemplate if I really have the skills/time to make some of these nifty DIY projects.  I've known about Pinterest for about a year and a half (thanks to my wonderful friend Megan for introducing me to it) and I'm proud to say that in that time I've completed 18 of the things that I've pinned.  Now this may not seem like a lot, but when you think about it, most people who pin things from the site NEVER actually do ANY of it!  Also, a lot of the things that I've recently been pinning are things to do with/for Logan as he gets older.

I have a lot of home improvement DIY projects that I want to do around the house to decorate for the holidays, so I'm sure I'll find something to keep me busy for the next few months.  I've given myself a $25 budget each week to do a project, any project that I pin.  If it can't be done in one week or for $25 or less, then it gets moved to the "big project" list that won't happen until probably next year.  I figure this way I make sure that I start and finish a project fast enough to get the immediate satisfaction that I love, and it doesn't break the bank in the process!

Here are some of the pinned projects/recipes/ideas that I've completed so far:

1) Black and White photo on canvas with black edging
Pinned Image

2)BBQ Pineapple Chicken
Crock pot hawaiian bbq chicken. Yum! Making this for dinner tonight!

3)Work out
***Do this routine before every shower: 50 jumping jacks, 5 push ups, 20 crunches, 20 mountain climbers, and 30 second plank. So worth it.

4)Christmas Planner
Free Christmas Planner Printables.

5)Ricotta filled shells over meat sauce
Stuffed Shells yummm!

6)Logan's footprint at 2 1/2 months old
Future idea.. 1/2 cup salt, 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup (give or take) water. Knead until dough forms. Make impression. Bake at 200 for 3 hours. Do every summer and make a stepping stone path :) INSTEAD OF PAYING THE PRICE I PAY I SHOULD TRY IT....

7)New hairstyle
This is what my hair could look like only on a good day after having 4 different stylists work on it!

8)Another work out (and omg this totally burns)
Starting this work out...tomorrow

9)Double layer chocolate cake with kit kats, peanut butter M&M's, lots of frosting, and a bow!
Going to make this ASAP!!!

10)Elmer's glue canvas art
Elmer's glue on canvas. Then paint the whole thing one color...brilliant!

11)NB photo of Logan's feet and our wedding rings
Baby Photo Idea

12)Hair style
Works like a charm :)

These are some of the fun things I've been up to this past year and a half.  Let's see what else I can get myself into!
